The Hampton Bay Universal 3-speed ceiling fan remote control adds convenient functionality to your ceiling fan. This replacement ceiling fan remote control kit works for most 110V 3-speed AC ceiling fans, compatible with Hampton Bay, Hunter, Harbor Breeze, Home Decorators Collection, Honeywell, Prominence Home, Minka-Aire, and many more. The universal ceiling fan remote control kit includes a light dimmer and 3-speed control, as well as a walk-away time delay feature that allows you to turn the light off but still have light as you leave the room. Note that this remote is not recommended for use with hugger-style ceiling fans.
This RC-72T&RC-72R universal ceiling fan remote control kit works with most 110V 3-speed AC ceiling fans, compatible with Harbor Breeze, Hampton Bay, Hunter, Home Decorators Collection, Honeywell, Litex, and other major ceiling fan brands. It is suitable for most downrod-style fans, but not recommended for use with hugger-style fans. The remote is compatible with all incandescent light bulbs and some dimmable LED lamps, but most LED lights and all CFL lights are not dimmable, and the remote only controls the on/off function in those cases.
Setting up the remote control is easy. First, set the DIP number "1234" on the transmitter and receiver to the same position. The separate dial "0/D" is used as a dimming option, and if the bulb supports dimming, select "D"; otherwise, select "0". The default setting is 0000, which is not recommended. If you have a pull-chain switch, use it to turn the wind speed to maximum and turn the fan light on before using the wireless remote control. If you have multiple ceiling fans in your home, ensure that the PIN code settings are different between them to avoid interference.
Installing the receiver is also straightforward. First, remove power from the circuit, then remove the ceiling fan canopy from the mounting bracket and disconnect the existing wiring between the ceiling fan and the supply in the electrical junction box. Next, set the same codes on the remote control and receiver, and install the receiver in the ceiling fan. Finally, install a 12V battery (not included) in the remote, and you can now control your fan.
The package includes a Remote Control, Receiver, Wall Mount, 6 Wiring Caps, 2 Screws, and a User Manual. The input voltage is 110-120V, AC frequency is 60Hz, and the remote control requires a 12V battery (not included). The light control function operates via relay contact on/off, and the transmission mode is radio frequency (RF) at 303.9MHz, with a remote control range of 60 feet.
